planning on sharing a room with a resident, the conference must
be notified. The preceptor will still be responsible for their room

4. Please remind
your resident(s) and/or fellow(s) attending the conference that
the host residency program is sponsoring the conference on a voluntary
basis. They are sponsoring the conference because they are dedicated
to post graduate pharmacy education. They are not professional meeting
planners. The host residency program will be trying very hard to
make the conference a success, but sometimes there can be glitches.
They will work very hard to correct any problems if they occur.
5. The conference
is sponsored by donations from the pharmaceutical industry, and
the pharmaceutical wholesalers. We do not receive financial support
from national pharmacy organizations. The national planning committee
and host program contact these companies and request donations.
We can always use additional support, if you know of a company that
would like to support post graduate pharmacy education please contact
the host residency program.
6.
Please remind your residents to submit both their registration form
and abstract by the deadline date.
7. The conference
will only support presentations on Microsoft Power Point® software.
MacIntosh® presentation software will not be available to the
presenter.
8. Presentations must be stored on a USB drive/jump drive.
9. Residents
attending the conference are expected to attend other resident’s
presentations especially in the afternoon sessions. There is nothing
more depressing to a resident who has worked extremely hard on their
presentation and then not have anyone attend their presentation.
10. The resident’s
presentation schedule will not be released until a week before the
conference.
11. <<Travel Notice>>
Over the last several years funding for the Midwest Pharmacy Resident's Conference has been extremely difficult to secure. Therefore the National Planning Committee has regrettably made the decision that the conference can NO LONGER FUND THE RESIDENTS TRAVEL TO THE CONFERENCE. It is now the responsibility of each institution and/or resident to fund the resident(s) travel to the conference. At this time the conference will pay for the resident(s) hotel accommodations.
12. Evaluation forms can be picked up at the end of each day at the conference registration desk. Evaluation forms will not be mailed to presenters after the conference.
